📋 Description

• Act as a trusted compliance advisor to business leaders, providing practical, risk-based guidance on complex regulatory and governance matters. • Lead the design, delivery, and ongoing enhancement of the European Compliance Programme. • Conduct compliance risk assessments and develop annual compliance plans aligned to business priorities and regulatory requirements. • Partner with business and legal teams to implement effective compliance policies, controls, and governance processes. • Build strong relationships with regulatory authorities and support regulatory engagement across multiple European jurisdictions. • Provide strategic compliance input into business initiatives, change programmes, and cross-functional projects. • Prepare and present compliance updates, reports, and key risk insights to Boards, committees, and senior leadership teams. • Monitor regulatory developments and proactively identify emerging compliance risks and opportunities. • Promote a strong culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability through communication, awareness initiatives, and training programmes. • Support the implementation of global compliance policies, including anti-bribery, anti-money laundering, sanctions, and other regulatory obligations. • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Compliance professionals, fostering collaboration and continuous professional growth. • Partner closely with Risk, Legal, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders to drive effective compliance outcomes across the region.

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience within Compliance, Regulatory Affairs, Risk, Legal, or Governance functions, ideally within insurance, healthcare, financial services, or another regulated environment. • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks and governance requirements applicable to regulated organisations. • Experience developing and implementing compliance programmes, policies, and risk management frameworks. • The ability to build trusted relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels of an organisation. • Experience working across multiple countries, jurisdictions, or international business environments. • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex regulatory concepts for different audiences. • Experience leading, mentoring, or developing teams. • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with strong analytical and decision-making skills. • High levels of professional integrity, sound judgement, and accountability. • The ability to balance compliance obligations with commercial and operational priorities. • Professional Compliance qualification or relevant industry certification. • Degree-level qualification or equivalent professional experience. • Additional European language skills, such as French, Dutch, or Spanish. • Experience interacting with regulators or supporting regulatory inspections and reviews.
