📋 Description

• Move and transform data from business sources into the data warehouse • Design, build and maintain large-scale data solutions and data pipelines using ELT tools and the technology stack • Write and maintain high-quality Python and SQL focused on performance, reliability and maintainability • Develop and optimise data solutions using Snowflake, MySQL and MS SQL Server 2019 • Collaborate with Delivery and Product teams, provide progress updates and ensure timely project delivery • Work with Senior Developers to improve development tools, processes, technology stack, application performance and stability • Participate in and support code reviews • Test data solutions and apply appropriate testing strategies • Troubleshoot production issues through resolution and identify preventative measures • Provide out-of-hours support when required in line with organisational SLAs

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years' commercial experience in Data Engineering • Strong commercial experience with Python and ability to write clean, maintainable and effective code • Strong SQL skills and excellent understanding of databases, data structures and data manipulation • Commercial experience working with data warehouses, ideally including Snowflake • Experience with MySQL and MS SQL Server 2019 • Good understanding of data engineering principles and data transformation • Understanding of testing strategies and writing robust, reliable data solutions • Experience working within Agile methodologies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues • Experience with ELT tools such as Fivetran, Kleene or dbt (desirable) • Experience using source code management tools, ideally Git (desirable) • Previous experience working within the travel industry (desirable) • Financial or finance-related data experience (desirable)
