📋 Description

• Develop and enhance professional relationships with medical thought leaders involved in product development • Engage with key medical organisations, treatment centres of excellence, societies, and associations in the UK • Provide medical information through fair and balanced scientific exchange • Provide clinical and scientific support for products in development and commercialised brands in the UK • Identify, establish, and maintain scientific relationships with Key Opinion Leaders • Uncover KOL insights on existing or emerging science affecting patient care • Act as primary liaison to HCPs developing projects with Ultragenyx and share insights with the local team • Support local ISTs and CUs follow-up • Contribute to and execute the local medical affairs plan • Increase awareness of relevant rare diseases • Respond to unsolicited medical information questions • Provide clinical presentations, information updates, and scientific support at medical congresses and educational initiatives • Collaborate with Clinical Operations on clinical development activities, including identifying trial sites and connecting with investigators • Conduct regular local literature reviews and summarize key messages • Contribute to medical training for the local sales team • Organize and prioritize own work schedule and manage individual territory • Participate in regular meetings with the Manager and local team • Ensure activities comply with company policies and SOPs

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced degree in a clinical or medical specialty (MD, PhD, PharmD, Master of Science Degree) and relevant clinical experience preferred • 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical industry in medical affairs required • Scientific expertise in rare disease is preferred • Good understanding of the health care delivery system and patient pathway in the country • Fluent in English • Location: UK • Approximately 50-60% travel is required; overnight travel can be required as needed
