• Ensure technical integrity, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence of Upvest’s SIPP proposition. • Act as the primary authority on UK pension legislation. • Work closely with Product, Engineering, Compliance, and Operations teams. • Lead regulatory oversight and stay abreast of FCA, DWP, and HMRC developments. • Solve complex technical queries and act as the escalation point for clients. • Drive product compliance through analysis of legislative changes. • Enhance governance by identifying emerging risks within the SIPP market. • Coach and develop staff through technical training materials. • Manage external relationships with partners and financial advice firms.
• Deep Pension Expertise: Thorough knowledge of HMRC and FCA rules as they apply specifically to SIPPs and the wider UK pensions market. • Regulatory Analysis Skills: Proven experience in analysing legislative changes and translating them into clear, actionable operational procedures. • Technical Problem-Solving: Experience in handling complex SIPP technical issues and resolving technical queries in a fast-paced environment. • Stakeholder Management: Strong communication of technical requirements to internal and external stakeholders, including engineering and product teams. • Self-Starter Mentality: A highly organised approach with the ability to work independently, prioritise appropriately, and thrive under pressure. • Qualifications (Desirable): Relevant industry certifications such as DipPFS, APMI, or equivalent professional pension qualifications.
