📋 Description

• Maintain and develop UW’s data product framework and platform for ELT processes to BigQuery. • Develop integration software and abstraction tools between Golang applications on Kubernetes and internal CRM. • Design, implement, and optimise scalable data contract frameworks and abstraction tools. • Collaborate with a team of software engineers and product managers. • Plan and implement software and microservices within an event-sourced architecture. • Run technical team meetings, review pull requests, mentor junior engineers, and set technical standards and roadmaps.

🎯 Requirements

• Strong background in building and maintaining software and microservices within an event-sourced architecture. • Proficient in Golang. • Hands-on experience with Kafka, PostgreSQL, AWS, and Terraform. • Problem-solver who can design, implement, and optimise scalable data contract frameworks and abstraction tools. • Experience integrating with internal CRM systems. • Collaborative, works closely with software engineers and product teams. • Previous Rust exposure or interest to develop is highly desired. • Comfortable diving into unfamiliar areas and making changes. • Keep simplicity at the core of workflow, reducing unnecessary complexity. • Evaluate and propose multiple approaches and understand business implications. • Break down complex user stories into sub-tasks and complete with minimal oversight. • Identify and communicate project risks to team and stakeholders. • Set, monitor and uphold standards for workflow, documentation, security and code quality. • Create and advocate for the technical roadmap of team and area. • Run technical team meetings and drive them to actionable outcomes. • Review pull requests from engineers of a wide range of skills and abilities. • Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers.
