📋 Description

• Support an agile software development practice for an environmentally focused Federal Government client • Gather and analyze business requirements • Translate business requirements into functional specifications aligned with project goals • Analyze business processes, systems, and data to identify improvements and recommend solutions • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements, document processes, and develop project plans • Identify business process improvement opportunities and solutions • Develop business cases and feasibility studies for initiatives and process improvements • Develop detailed business requirements documents and functional specifications • Collaborate with developers and project managers to ensure solutions meet business needs and are delivered on time and within budget • Collaborate on user interface and user experience design • Assist in developing and implementing information systems • Conduct user acceptance testing • Facilitate stakeholder meetings and requirements workshops • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, and project documentation • Support the project manager in tracking timelines and deliverables • Communicate progress and issues to stakeholders regularly • Develop training materials and train end-users as needed

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams • Experience with business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques • Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Experience with process mapping and modeling tools such as Visio or JIRA is preferred • Understanding of environmental regulations and sustainability practices is a plus • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, but not required • Requirements elicitation and documentation techniques • Business process modeling and mapping using Visio, Lucidchart, and BPMN notation • Data modeling and analysis techniques, including entity-relationship diagrams and data flow diagrams • Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban • Project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or Asana • Collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams, Slack, or JIRA • Business intelligence and reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Cognos • Basic technical knowledge of software development and database technologies • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Quiet, distraction-free workspace with adequate internet • Full attention and availability during working hours • Schedule aligned with coworkers' and clients' core business hours • Disclosure and written approval for current or future outside employment or professional activities
