📋 Description

• Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient AWS-based infrastructure in alignment with VA policies and standards. • Apply DevSecOps practices to automate security processes throughout the CI/CD pipeline. • Ensure security and compliance of AWS environments by implementing best practices consistent with VA policies and federal standards. • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. • Collaborate with development teams to integrate automated security testing and monitoring throughout the development lifecycle. • Implement and manage security controls, logging, and monitoring tools to detect and respond to threats. • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify, report, and mitigate vulnerabilities. • Provide technical guidance on secure configuration, deployment, and operation of AWS services. • Participate in incident response and remediation activities, including root cause analysis. • Mentor team members on DevSecOps methodologies and cloud security best practices. • Stay current with emerging AWS services, DevSecOps practices, and cybersecurity trends. • Contribute to team objectives and take on additional responsibilities as needed.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS cloud services focused on automation, security, and infrastructure management. • In-depth understanding of VA policies, procedures, and security protocols. • Expertise in DevSecOps practices, including CI/CD automation and security integration. • Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible. • Strong understanding of network security, IAM, encryption, and access control best practices. • Experience with AWS security tools such as Security Hub, CloudTrail, GuardDuty, and AWS WAF. • Familiarity with production operations, incident management, and cloud auditing. • Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell) to automate security and operational tasks. • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. • U.S. Citizenship required, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
