📋 Description

• Act as technical authority for backend architecture across core Java platforms and services • Own and evolve system architecture, integration patterns, and platform design for existing products and new market initiatives • Ensure architectural decisions balance scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and cost • Provide architectural direction through diagrams, ADRs, reference implementations, and standards • Support adoption of AI-assisted development practices in collaboration with AI leadership • Use AI tools for design, analysis, and implementation support • Translate AI capabilities into scalable, secure, and maintainable system designs • Define guardrails and best practices for AI-assisted engineering • Partner with engineering managers to upskill teams in effective and responsible AI usage • Develop deep understanding of core business domains and platform rules • Ensure business logic is correct, explicit, testable, and maintainable • Support teams in modelling complex rules and workflows • Work with Product Management to assess technical feasibility and shape architectural approaches • Translate business strategy into technical execution plans • Support SLT with technology strategy input, options analysis, and risk assessment • Define and uphold coding standards, architectural principles, and design guidelines • Review and guide complex designs and high-risk changes • Support governance for technical debt, security and compliance, platform stability, and extensibility

🎯 Requirements

• Strong system design and business-logic mastery • Experience with established Java-based platforms and services • Experience with AI-assisted engineering practices, prompt-driven development, and design acceleration • Knowledge of scalability, security, performance, maintainability, and cost considerations • Ability to produce architectural diagrams, ADRs, reference implementations, and standards • Ability to use AI tools for design, analysis, and implementation support • Ability to design scalable, secure, and maintainable AI-enabled systems • Sound engineering judgment regarding AI versus deterministic solutions • Ability to define guardrails and best practices for AI-assisted design, coding, and business-logic reasoning • Ability to understand complex business domains, rules, workflows, and clean design patterns • Ability to assess technical feasibility and shape architectural approaches • Knowledge of coding standards, architectural principles, design guidelines, security, compliance, technical debt, platform stability, and extensibility
