📋 Description

• Create scalable microservices to support company growth • Propose scalable, maintainable, and cost-effective solutions • Estimate the effort required to develop and deliver new product features • Implement and execute unit, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies • Design and develop approaches to measure, evaluate, and improve service quality • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive peer feedback • Contribute to documentation of components, design patterns, and the design system • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging frontend technologies • Share knowledge with the development team to improve development processes and standards • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Product Management on reliable, scalable, high-performance feature and service integration • Work on greenfield and existing projects for the Vonage Verify API team, expanding two-factor authentication channels, anti-fraud measures, and Networks API integrations

🎯 Requirements

• Excellent software engineering skills for backend services • A strong focus on testing • An understanding of object oriented design and standard design patterns • Strong experience of multi-threaded, 3-tier architectures, web services, caching, and dealing with event-driven pipelines • Willingness to learn and use different technologies and programming languages • First hand knowledge of Continuous Deployment tools and methodologies • Experience working with public cloud; AWS would be advantageous • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases • Practical experience of deploying code in a modern programming environment using tools such as Docker, Helm and Kubernetes • Experience with microservices architecture • Experience with Go, Java, or Kotlin • Experience with Spring Boot, WebFlux, and reactive programming • Experience with AWS • Experience with Kafka • Experience with Redis and PostgreSQL • Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and ELK stack
