📋 Description

• Perform troubleshooting and customer training on new and existing machines • Put new machines into service, including testing and demonstrating equipment at customer sites • Repair existing equipment at customer sites • Troubleshoot machines and perform service, maintenance, and repairs • Travel extensively to Canadian and foreign customer locations for machine startup, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training • Recommend repair parts and product improvements to customers • Advise and train customers on proper maintenance and operation of Nordco equipment • Prepare weekly travel expense records and field reports • Work with engineering and/or production to solve problems with new machines • Contribute to continuous improvement of equipment and processes • Work independently and develop effective rapport with customers

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an industrial or mobile heavy equipment mechanic • Extensive knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems • Ability to read schematics • Ability to troubleshoot and solve equipment problems • Mechanical aptitude • Ability to interpret written, oral, or diagram instructions • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with variables in different situations • Ability to read and interpret business documents, technical procedures, governmental regulations, and professional journals • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions • Ability to work with diverse personalities and build strong customer relationships • Valid driver's license • Valid passport • French speaking preferred • PLC and/or CanBus systems troubleshooting training strongly preferred • Previous railroad experience a plus • Ability to travel 70–80% to domestic and foreign locations
