📋 Description

• Take editorial responsibility for Aquaculture Research and one other journal in Wiley’s aquaculture portfolio • Drive strategic development and increase the profile and visibility of journals • Attract new authors and content • Participate in peer review and manuscript decision-making • Ensure adoption of publishing best practices and highest ethical standards • Drive content acquisition and submission growth across the aquaculture and ecology portfolio • Develop journals from scientific and publishing perspectives • Establish and maintain networks of authors, peer reviewers, and board members • Represent Wiley and the aquaculture portfolio at conferences and through university and research-institute outreach • Contribute to editorial evaluation, peer review, and decision-making for submitted manuscripts • Collaborate with managers and colleagues to build a culture of trust, respect, and high performance

🎯 Requirements

• PhD degree in Aquaculture, Fisheries Science, Aquatic Ecology, Aquatic Animal Health and/or Nutrition or a related field • Excellent research background • Strong understanding of recent trends and developments • Strong teamwork and communication skills • Flexible and innovative approach to problems • Ability to work collaboratively and achieve results through personal influence and engagement • Self-motivated, diplomatic, and flexible approach • Outstanding organizational and time management skills • Excellent command of English, written and verbal • Strong understanding of scientific publishing, including commissioning and peer review • Prior publishing-industry experience highly desired • Interest in science communication and open research • Confidence presenting and representing journal portfolios • Willingness to travel
