📋 Description

• Guide and develop a high-performing engineering team • Support engineers’ career growth through regular 1-on-1s, performance reviews, and development plans • Lead recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding • Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and psychologically safe team culture • Own team delivery outcomes, velocity, and operational excellence • Ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability • Set technical standards and guide architectural decisions • Ensure code quality through reviews and technical debt management • Lead production incident response and post-mortem processes • Partner with Product, Design, Security, and other stakeholders on roadmaps and dependencies • Manage team capacity, risks, progress, and blockers • Contribute to departmental technical strategy and drive innovation

🎯 Requirements

• Proven leadership skills with ability to inspire, coach, and mentor engineers • Strong technical background in software engineering principles and modern methodologies, including Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills • High emotional intelligence and ability to build trust • Strategic thinking and strong problem-solving skills • Ability to translate business priorities into technical execution • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, continuous learning, and improvement • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field • 8+ years of software engineering experience, including delivery of complex systems • 2+ years of direct people management experience, including performance and career development • Demonstrable experience leading Agile/Scrum teams and driving continuous improvement • Experience with project budgeting, resource planning, and reporting • Familiarity with modern DevOps practices and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) • Ability to advise on technical strategy and align it with business objectives • Master’s degree in CS, Engineering, or MBA • Certifications in Agile/Scrum, Leadership, or Cloud Architecture • Experience in governance, compliance, or risk management • Track record of mentoring engineers and fostering inclusive team culture • Exposure to scaling teams, distributed systems, and enterprise-level architecture
