• Serve as a strategic advisor to business leadership and partner across the team to deliver the people strategy. • Support leaders and employees in building high-performing teams and fostering a culture that supports client delivery excellence, employee success, and Make-A-Wish’s mission. • Report to the Director, People Business Partners and work on strategic HR initiatives. • Champion a high-performing, inclusive culture aligned with organizational values and strategy. • Ensure alignment between performance, recognition, and career development. • Support organizational changes and business transformation initiatives. • Partner with business leaders on workforce strategies and use people metrics for proactive workforce planning. • Advise leaders on organizational design for strategic alignment and scalable growth. • Collaborate with talent acquisition on hiring strategies. • Partner with total rewards on compensation planning, career development, and recognition. • Address employee relations issues using a balanced, business-focused, employee-centered approach. • Coach people leaders on performance management, employee development, and talent management. • Provide guidance on employee matters, leave of absence management, policy interpretation, and workplace concerns. • Deliver Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies aligned with team and organizational goals. • Maintain knowledge of and integrate federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations into policies and practices. • Champion business initiatives and workgroups to drive people strategy. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required • 7+ years of human resource experience required • 5+ years of HR business partner experience required • Employee relations experience and coaching capabilities • Strong influencing skills with key stakeholders at all levels of the organization • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, influencing, and conflict resolution skills • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail • Change management experience • Policy interpretation and data-driven decision-making capabilities • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality • Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related software • Understanding of AI and ability to leverage technology tools • Proficiency with HRIS and talent management systems • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Make-A-Wish does not sponsor employment visas or other immigration processes • Ability to thrive in a remote environment • May require work outside a traditional Monday–Friday work week and normal business hours • Up to 10% travel may be required • Master’s degree in Human Resources, PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP preferred
