📋 Description

• Lead the design and delivery of enterprise Java applications end-to-end • Provide hands-on technical leadership for IBM WebSphere/WebSphere Liberty or comparable application server estates, including deployment, configuration, tuning, upgrades, and troubleshooting • Set coding standards, conduct design and code reviews, and mentor engineers • Drive modernisation of monolithic and application-server workloads toward Spring Boot microservices, containers, and CI/CD • Own non-functional quality covering performance, resilience, security, scalability, and observability • Plan and coordinate technical delivery across SIT, UAT, and production releases • Manage technical risk and dependencies • Partner with enterprise architects, business analysts, infrastructure teams, and vendors

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years in enterprise Java application development, with a strong track record leading teams and delivery • Deep, hands-on expertise with IBM WebSphere and/or WebSphere Liberty, or a comparable Java application server platform such as JBoss/WildFly or WebLogic • Strong core Java and Spring/Spring Boot knowledge • Experience with enterprise integration patterns including JMS/MQ, REST, and SOAP • Solid grounding in application architecture, performance tuning, and production support at scale • Experience with CI/CD and containers, including Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift • Proven ability to lead modernisation of legacy Java workloads
