Descrição

• Lead and deliver bridge and structural engineering projects from pursuit through construction, including proposal development (scope, schedule, budget) and client interviews • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, agency partners, and teaming consultants across Northern and Central California • Manage multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with civil, survey, environmental, and construction stakeholders • Oversee and mentor engineers in the preparation of PS&E packages, technical studies, reports, calculations, and supporting documentation • Perform and review bridge analysis and design using bridge‑specific finite element and section analysis software • Ensure designs comply with applicable codes and standards, including AASHTO LRFD and seismic design requirements • Provide construction support services, including site visits, responding to RFIs, and reviewing shop drawings and submittals • Lead bridge inspection and preventative maintenance projects, as applicable • Effectively communicate complex technical concepts in writing and verbally, representing the firm with professionalism • Manage project schedules, budgets, workload, and performance metrics across multiple concurrent assignments

🎯 Requisitos

• B.S. in Civil Engineering is required, and M.S. in Structural Engineering is preferred • California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is required • 12+ years of progressive experience in bridge and structural design and project management • Strong understanding of bridge design codes, seismic principles, and construction practices • Proven success in leading teams, client management, and deliver complex capital projects • Physical Demands: Must be able to regularly talk, hear and operate a computer, keyboard and mouse and occasionally lift, pull/push and carry up to 20 pounds with accommodations. • Work Conditions: Exposure to constant or intermittent sounds at a low or moderate level consistent with an office setting. Exposure to high-stress, fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Travel to other BKF locations and client sites may be required.

• The typical base salary range for this position is $140,000.00 - $205,000.00, annualized depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location.
