Descrição

• Provide in-person and telephonic Medical Case Management to injured workers • Work closely with injured workers to facilitate recovery • Collaborate with patients, families, physicians, healthcare providers, employers, referral sources, attorneys, advisors/clients, and coworkers • Use medical and nursing knowledge to discuss current treatment plans and alternate treatment plans with physicians • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient progress • Evaluate treatment plans for appropriateness, medical necessity, and cost effectiveness • Attend doctors’, healthcare providers’, home, and attorney visits • Attend hospital and long-term facility discharge planning conferences • Determine appropriateness of care and develop effective long-term care strategies • Conduct home visits for initial evaluations • Negotiate delivery of durable medical equipment and nursing services • Maintain compliance with safety rules and regulations under the Injury and Illness Prevention Program • Perform additional duties as required

🎯 Requisitos

• Registered nurse (RN) • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing • Current RN Licensure in state of operation • Valid driver’s license • Reliable transportation • Ability to travel to assigned locations • Effective communication and multi-tasking skills in a high-volume, fast-paced, team-oriented environment • Ability to meet with patients, physicians, healthcare providers, attorneys, advisors/clients, and coworkers • Strong interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude • Ability to utilize Microsoft Office, including Excel spreadsheets • Ability to work independently and within a team environment • Experience as an RN Medical Case Manager is ideal • Clinical background in orthopedics, neurology, or rehabilitation is preferred • Cost containment background, such as utilization review or managed care, is helpful • Certification as a CCM, CIRS, or other Case Management certification is preferred • Ability to travel locally up to approximately 60% of the work week/month • Ability to work Monday–Friday during regular business hours • Ability to work from home and on the road • Ability to undertake overnight travel if required
