Descrição

• Undertake National Grid BP141 design assurance roles on a variety of National Grid projects • Review and assess design submissions for compliance with National Grid technical specifications, procedures and engineering standards • Provide feedback and recommendations to address design gaps, non-compliance and potential risks • Support completion and acceptance of design pack DCAAR once technical, safety and regulatory requirements are met • Participate in project design review meetings, workshops and technical reviews • Coordinate and provide technical interface with other design assurance engineering disciplines • Serve as primary point of contact between National Grid Project Teams and Contractor Design Teams • Collaborate with asset management, project delivery teams and other engineering disciplines • Identify risks related to safety, reliability and performance and recommend corrective actions • Ensure Contractor Design Teams incorporate appropriate risk mitigation measures • Maintain records of design submissions, review comments and DCAAR acceptances in accordance with BP188 • Review technical reports and assurance documentation • Monitor design quality and compliance performance and provide feedback to management

🎯 Requisitos

• HNC or Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline • Currently or previously held National Grid BP141 Design Assurance Engineer authorisation • Chartered Engineer status or working towards CEng accreditation • Proven experience in infrastructure design, design assurance, or technical approval within the Electricity Transmission and/or DNO sector • Strong knowledge of electrical infrastructure relevant to the specific assurance discipline • Experience of the UK Electricity Transmission and/or Distribution System • Experience of implementing safety by design and CDM awareness • Experience of working to a structured project design process and compliance with associated BP188 timescales • Desirable: Experience of producing, reviewing and approving designs for National Grid and/or Distribution Network Operator projects • Desirable: Currently or previously nominated as SR188 Contractor Design Approval Engineer on National Grid projects • Willingness to travel anywhere throughout the UK
