• Responsible for business development of new public sector client relationships and the profitability of these relationships once obtained. • Accountable for maintaining existing client relationships and expanding these relationships by cross selling appropriate bank products and investments with the goal being to increase group revenue and ensure profitability of these relationships. • Attend community and industry specific forums, conferences and meetings to broaden relationship networks and referral sources, and continually update knowledge of trends, practices, services and the competitive landscape of the public sector. • Coordinate all client-facing activities in assigned territory including completion of formal and informal bid requests, responses to client telephone calls and e-mails, implementation of services, general account reviews, and other activities. • Collaborate with team members, other internal and external business partners, and clients to ensure client needs are met efficiently and expeditiously.
• Undergraduate Degree (4 years or equivalent) in business, finance or marketing. • 10+ Years of relationship management and treasury management sales experience. • Government entity calling experience that includes knowledge of government regulations and requirements. • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP). • Lending experience. • Strong geographic knowledge of calling territory preferred. • Ability to efficiently organize and prioritize tasks and sales activity, including pre-call planning and post call follow-up. • Proven ability to independently create and execute sales strategies to obtain new business. • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint along with e-mail applications. • Capacity to multitask and work with minimal supervision. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills. • Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross functional insights. • Aligns relationship building efforts with enterprise goals to accelerate performance and drive strategic results. • Builds trusted client relationships, whether internal or external, by identifying needs and delivering tailored solutions to enhance the overall client experience. • Fosters or supports a positive work culture and productive work environment, displaying importance of effective relationships with customers and stakeholders.
