• Lead the Caplyta regional Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team in providing scientific, clinical, research, and educational support to healthcare professionals and internal partners. • Set and drive regional strategy with the MSL Head, translating Medical Affairs strategy into priorities, objectives, and execution. • Conduct routine strategy reviews with MSL direct reports using data, insights, AI tools, and performance trends. • Coach, support, and develop MSL direct reports through feedback, field observation, skills frameworks, and career planning. • Execute field Medical Affairs programs, including product launches, proactive initiatives, and healthcare professional engagement. • Ensure direct reports demonstrate scientific expertise, presentation skills, professional credibility, stakeholder influence, adaptive communication, and scientific storytelling. • Remove barriers and align field activities for impactful scientific engagement. • Ensure collection, analysis, and communication of actionable Medical Insights to inform strategy, evidence generation, and lifecycle planning. • Coordinate with Medical Affairs, Scientific Affairs, and cross-functional partners. • Recommend solutions to the MSL Head using critical thinking, risk assessment, and sound judgment. • Oversee activities for regulatory and healthcare compliance and reinforce ethical decision-making and accountability. • Manage regional MSL team performance through field visits, 1:1s, coaching, feedback, training, development, and performance monitoring. • Ensure territory plans are strategic, current, and actionable. • Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse, high-performing team, including succession and career planning. • Complete administrative duties including expense approvals, team metric reports, compliance documentation, and operational reporting. • Communicate team achievements, insights, and impact to internal partners and leadership. • Lead cross-functional collaboration, business planning, scientific projects, proactive initiatives, and company initiatives. • Develop field scientific strategies aligned with therapeutic-area priorities and lifecycle needs. • Establish scalable processes that enhance alignment, efficiency, compliance, and cross-functional execution.
• A minimum of a master’s degree is required. • PharmD, PhD, MD highly preferred. • Minimum of 8 years of experience required. • Minimum of 4 years of pharmaceutical industry experience required. • Minimum of 2 years of MSL experience required. • Previous people management responsibility required. • Clinical/research experience preferred. • Therapeutic-area-related experience preferred. • Proficiency in data gathering and analysis, clinical expertise, problem solving, interpersonal influence, cross-functional collaboration, strategic thinking, and competitive landscape analysis. • Must live in the assigned region and in close proximity to an airport. • Ability to travel regionally approximately 60%, including overnight travel, periodic national scientific congresses, and key strategic/scientific meetings at corporate offices in Horsham, Pennsylvania and Titusville, New Jersey. • Valid US driver’s license. • Demonstrated commitment to learning emerging technologies such as AI through exploration, iteration, and applying new tools over time. • Experience building team AI literacy and confidence and reinforcing trusted, responsible AI use and sound judgment.
