• Provide Epic application expertise to managed services and consulting clients • Configure, optimize, troubleshoot, and support Epic applications for healthcare organizations • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business and clinical workflows • Evaluate, recommend, and implement system enhancements • Provide technical expertise, facilitate system upgrades, and ensure compliance with industry regulations • Communicate proactively with clients, provide timely updates, and manage expectations • Track and communicate decisions and contribute to change management • Collaborate with Client Success Managers on client requests and outcome data • Assess client needs, goals, and current system build to identify modifications • Document business requirements and recommend solutions aligned with regulatory, insurance, hospital service, and IT changes • Configure, test, and validate application modifications • Advise clients on optimized functionality using best practices and EHR vendor recommendations • Build, test, train, and implement infrastructure, workflows, and policies • Test and verify deliverables for requirements, reliability, and accuracy • Document processes, analyze gaps, and deliver actionable improvements • Support clients during designated business hours and participate in after-hours on-call support as required • Deliver Tier 2 maintenance and break/fix support to multiple clients under contracted SLAs • Provide Tier 3 project support to multiple clients • Perform root cause analysis and recommend solutions • Escalate issues to EHR and third-party vendors and validate vendor-proposed solutions • Follow customer change-control and build-documentation policies • Identify engagement risks, create mitigation plans, and notify stakeholders of delays or obstacles • Support quality service delivery and maintain knowledge bases, workflows, and documentation • Report engagement expansion opportunities and develop sales-support materials • Help scope potential new engagements • Track and report measurable work impact for clients and Tegria • Maintain EHR certifications and application knowledge • Serve as an application lead and mentor less experienced team members • Perform other related duties as assigned
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a healthcare-related professional certification or licensure, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Typically, 8+ years of wide ranging experience as an Epic application analyst or in Epic consulting • Epic Compass Rose Certification Required • Preferred additional certifications in Epic Healthy Planet and Epic Ambulatory • Experience working successfully on multiple projects or multiple clients simultaneously • Expert knowledge of assigned applications and relevant workflows • Solid knowledge of healthcare workflows, clinical and business operations, and regulatory compliance requirements • Advanced individual contributor and subject matter expert with specialized skills and broad understanding of related areas • Understanding of interrelationships among different functions, departments, and disciplines • W2 project-based consultants must provide a computing device adhering to industry standards and security best practices • Productive, responsive, and reliable in a remote working environment • Ability to adjust priorities and plans in response to changing workload, circumstances, or feedback • Ability to articulate thoughts clearly, persuasively, and tactfully • Ability to translate complex technical and business concepts for technical and non-technical stakeholders • Ability to deliver engaging presentations • Collaborative team participation and knowledge sharing • Competence, credibility, and trustworthiness • Ownership of work and outcomes, accountability for deadlines, results, and quality standards • Ability to adhere to project timelines and proactively report delays or obstacles • Commitment to continually refining expertise in EHR applications and broadening abilities across multiple applications
