📋 Description

• Prepare metal roofing estimates, take-offs, and quotations • Estimate new metal roofs and roof replacements, including tile-to-metal and asbestos-to-metal conversions • Read architectural plans, specifications, and scopes of work • Prepare material take-offs, supplier pricing, and job costings • Create colour-coordinated roof maps identifying roof areas, flashings, gutters, downpipes, and other components • Communicate directly with clients about projects, including gathering information, answering questions, and providing updates • Collaborate with the Director, Project Manager, Leading Hand, suppliers, and clients • Organise equipment hire and coordinate material orders • Assist with scheduling and general project coordination when estimating workload is quieter • Maintain accurate job notes and project information in ServiceM8

🎯 Requirements

• Experience estimating metal roofing projects • Strong understanding of roofing systems, flashings, gutters, downpipes, and associated materials • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and construction documentation • Experience preparing material take-offs, supplier pricing, and job costings • High level of accuracy and attention to detail • Strong organisational and time management skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Confident using Microsoft Office and project management software • Experience using ServiceM8 or similar job management software • Highly desirable: experience creating colour-coded roof maps using roofing estimating software • Highly desirable: previous project coordination or construction administration experience • Highly desirable: experience coordinating suppliers, material orders, and equipment hire • Highly desirable: knowledge of Australian roofing products and installation practices
