📋 Description

• Develop solutions for technical problems using scientific principles, theories, practices, and existing technologies • Prepare technical work plans, reports, basic data, and scientific documents • Interpret and record data and conduct analyses for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations • Plan, execute, analyze, and report on environmental measures in natural systems • Collect soil, soil vapor, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples • Prepare samples for shipping and complete chain-of-custody or similar paperwork • Apply knowledge of chemistry, physics, biology, hydrology, and mathematics to explain observations • Study contaminants and determine how to restore the environment • Review analytical data for general indicators of quality in routine analyses • Coordinate with task and project managers, on-site subcontractors, and field staff • Support sampling, data collection, and field documentation • Provide technical expertise support • Primarily support Federal environmental projects

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in civil, chemical, mechanical, environmental Engineering, or another related discipline, and 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience • Minimum 6 years of experience • Valid U.S. Driver's License, subject to a Motor vehicle records check • Successful completion of a background check • US Citizenship required • Professional registration or being on track to obtain professional registration preferred • Ability to travel for fieldwork and/or meetings • Ability to undertake significant travel within the United States, potentially several months per year • Proficiency in standard office suite software applications • OSHA 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification or ability to obtain one within 6 months of hire • Database, GIS, CAD, and visualization software skills desirable • Professional written and verbal communication skills with clients, regulatory officials, and fellow employees
