📋 Description

• Build scalable foundational systems and data pipelines to power Affirm's financial platforms • Partner closely with Product and Accounting teams to design robust reporting and reconciliation systems • Break down larger projects into individual tasks, deliver in multiple phases, and collaborate with others to ensure timely delivery • Support product development lifecycle by collaborating with product management, design and analytics; articulate technical constraints and partner on risk/trade-off decisions • Support operations and availability by creating and monitoring metrics, escalating when needed, and supporting on-call efforts • Contribute to team community via growth and development activities such as participating in the interview process • Build and integrate data pipelines from a wide variety of products and systems • Build a foundational platform enabling critical processes including reconciling each individual transaction across systems, partners, and cash movements • Participate in an on-call rotation as a requirement

🎯 Requirements

• You have a total of 1.5+ years of experience as a software engineer • Experience designing, developing and launching backend systems • Proficient in Python • Familiar with building blocks of distributed systems and technologies like AWS, MySQL and Kubernetes • Ability to take a simple problem or business scenario into a solution that interacts with multiple software components • Experience writing clear, well tested and extensible code • Comfortable navigating a large code base, debugging others' code, and providing feedback through code reviews • Demonstrated ownership of personal growth and proactively seeking feedback • Strong verbal and written communication skills for global collaboration • Must be based in Spain; visa sponsorship available • Participation in on-call rotation required
