📋 Description
• Lead civil engineering aspects of energy projects from concept to detailed design, delivering drawings, specs, estimates, and schedules • Provide technical guidance, review designs, and resolve project challenges with practical, hands-on expertise • Prepare clear, accurate reports and documentation, and support site activities through inspections and construction monitoring • Identify and mitigate risks related to health & safety, design, sustainability, and commercial factors • Represent the company professionally, support business development, and mentor junior engineers • Provide clients help and support at all project stages, including feasibility studies, technology assessments, technical due diligence, Lenders’ Engineer services, FEED studies, owner’s engineer services, EPCM services, operation and maintenance support and optimisation, and expert witness services
🎯 Requirements
• minimum 2:1 degree in civil engineering • Chartered Engineer status • Detailed working knowledge of codes and standards used within the UK energy sector (Eurocodes and British Standards) • Detailed civil/structural design experience (advantageous) • foundation design experience (advantageous) • condition and structural assessment of existing structures (advantageous) • energy project experience (advantageous) • experience in scoping and management of site surveys and investigations (advantageous) • previous experience providing consulting services in a multi-disciplinary engineering environment (advantageous) • experience with CAD software such as Revit and AutoCAD (advantageous) • understanding of design tools within a BIM environment (advantageous) • right to work in the UK (no Skilled Worker visa sponsorship)
