📋 Description

• Review and monitor federal program funding under Labour Market Transfer Agreements (LMTA) and related legislation. • Develop reports, frameworks and strategic plans that align with ministry and cross-government priorities. • Co-lead province-wide delivery of the Targeting, Referral and Feedback (TRF) program, including data management, outreach and analysis. • Prepare position papers, reports, and briefings for senior leadership and external stakeholders. • Provide secretariat support for senior labour market committees, ensuring effective coordination and communication. • Collaborate with internal teams, other ministries, and federal/provincial partners to advance labour market initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• University graduation in a related field like Social Science, Business Administration plus four years of progressive, applied policy experience in a government setting • demonstrated knowledge of the Labour Market, the Labour Market Development Agreement, Workforce Development Agreement, Government Organization Act, Privacy legislation, Income and Employment Supports Act (IESA), Employment Insurance Act • Equivalency: Directly related education or experience is considered on the basis of one year of education for one year of experience; or one year of experience for one year of education. • Knowledge and/or experience of the following are considered assets for this position: Relevant legislation and regulations, policies, business plans and strategic initiatives of the department • In-depth knowledge of Employment Insurance (EI) programs and policies • Briefings, reporting, research, change management, and systems thinking. • Knowledge of local, provincial and Canadian labour markets • Knowledge of the data collection and reporting to the federal government.
