📋 Description

• Attend scheduled IC meetings (monthly during the first two years, transitioning to quarterly from year three onward). • Review and evaluate investment proposals, due diligence findings, and portfolio performance updates. • Provide strategic guidance, identify risks, and challenge investment assumptions constructively. • Participate in final decision-making on transactions, ensuring alignment with the fund’s financial, developmental, and impact objectives. • Support post-investment monitoring through review and feedback on portfolio performance. • Contribute approximately 20–25 working days per year, including preparation and meeting participation.

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in renewable energy, infrastructure, or investment. • Proven experience as either a developer or investor in renewable or distributed energy projects. • Demonstrated involvement in investment committees, deal or credit committees, or board-level investment decision-making. • Understanding of African markets, policy environments, and investment dynamics. • Strong grasp of project development economics, investment structuring, and risk assessment. • Experience with mid-sized fund or asset platforms and transaction sizes in the $2M–$10M range. • Ability to interpret investment materials, assess due diligence outcomes, and evaluate technical and financial assumptions. • Strategic thinker with independence, sound commercial judgment, and integrity. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of constructive challenge and collaboration. • Balanced and collegial approach to committee engagement.
