📋 Description

• Develop C++ applications controlling next-generation satellite terminals • Design, code, test, and integrate software from requirements through production and commercial deployment • Assist with estimating time and effort for new features • Participate in design reviews and peer code reviews • Improve product quality • Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement feature dependencies • Integrate and validate new product designs • Act as a member of an Agile scrum team

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience • Understanding of hardware design and architecture • Solid C/C++ object-oriented programming and development experience • Experience in Linux or a POSIX operating-system environment • Familiarity with software configuration management, defect-tracking tools, and peer review • Strong documentation and writing skills • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software, Systems, Mathematics, or a related technical field • Embedded development experience, including hardware debugging, device drivers, and real-time constraints, is a plus • Cross-functional hardware/firmware/software development and verification experience is a plus • Familiarity with satellite communications protocols such as DVB-S2 and TDMA is a plus • Familiarity with TCP/IP, UDP, and IPv6 is a plus • X.509 certificate and cryptographic key management experience is a plus • Shell scripting, Perl, Lua, or Python experience is a plus • Experience with Docker, Conan, CMake, and C++11 is a plus • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence, BitBucket, Git, SharePoint, Jenkins, and Artifactory is a plus • Working knowledge of GCC, grep/awk/sed command-line tools, Bash scripting, GDB debugger, and systemd suite
