📋 Description

• Support development and implementation of integrated communications strategies for the Obesity and Related Conditions team • Manage multiple critical communications initiatives and oversee the material review process • Support internal communications and engagement initiatives, including town halls, onsite events, and executive memos • Oversee creative and multimedia content for internal, web, and social channels • Lead development and distribution of internal communications and thought leadership content • Collaborate with enterprise communications teams and agency partners on employee and external communications • Lead metrics reporting for external and internal communications initiatives • Monitor integrated communications and social media trends and identify opportunities • Lead research and tactical execution for priority initiatives, data milestones, medical meetings, and DSE initiatives • Support budget planning and management with vendors • Report directly to the Director, Corporate Affairs • Travel occasionally to Thousand Oaks Headquarters and key events

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of public relations and/or communications experience, or Master’s degree and 7 years, or Bachelor’s degree and 9 years • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience • Experience in public relations and/or communications; biotechnology, pharmaceutical, or healthcare sector experience strongly preferred • Outstanding writing, editing, communications, and presentation skills • Keen attention to detail • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Advanced knowledge and experience in social media strategy, social content writing, and visual asset ideation • Familiarity with monitoring and analytics tools and platforms and developing insights reports • Ability to work independently and collaboratively • Ability to think quickly, analytically, and creatively in a dynamic environment • Experience working at or managing public relations agency partners and vendor relationships • Ability to interface professionally with cross-functional teams, corporate leaders, and external stakeholders • Dedication to Amgen’s mission to serve patients • Ability to travel occasionally to Thousand Oaks Headquarters and key events
