• Network Engineers are responsible for the infrastructure that connects users to Dropbox services. • This network transits traffic for all tenants of serving infrastructure, including our in-house multi-exabyte storage system (Magic Pocket), large-scale databases, edge POP infrastructure, and all user-facing services. • As part of the Production Networking team, you will help manage global-scale network infrastructure while driving improvements in reliability and efficiency. • You will play a key role in operating, validating, and evolving the network. • Responsibilities include implementing global configuration and design changes, supporting upgrade initiatives, managing vendor escalations, and ensuring the operational integrity of production network.
• 3+ years of experience in a production network environment with a focus on operational execution • Strong familiarity with network hardware/software platforms (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Arista) • Proficiency in core networking protocols such as BGP, OSPF/ISIS, and IPv4/IPv6 • Proven experience with network change operations and rollout procedures • Demonstrated ability to manage vendor escalations and coordinate support resolution • Solid understanding of large-scale network operations, including troubleshooting and lab/test validation workflows • Strong organizational and execution skills with attention to detail in structured change workflows • Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills • Scripting ability in Python or a similar language • Familiarity with network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, NAPALM) • Experience with test-driven infrastructure or validation pipelines
