📋 Description

• This is a remote position. • Job Summary: The Senior Product Owner is responsible for defining and driving the strategic vision of Avertra’s products while ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. • This role leads cross-functional teams, facilitates collaboration between stakeholders, and prioritizes initiatives that maximize value delivery. • The Senior Product Owner plays a pivotal role in shaping the product roadmap, overseeing execution, and ensuring that development efforts result in high-impact solutions. • In addition, this role involves mentoring junior product owners, refining product management best practices, and influencing leadership decisions. • Product Strategy Define and maintain a strategic product roadmap that outlines key initiatives, features, and enhancements over time. • Own and articulate the product vision, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and customer needs. • Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and user feedback to refine and optimize the product direction. • Lead executive-level discussions to secure buy-in for strategic product decisions and investments. • Drive data-driven decision-making, leveraging customer insights and performance metrics to inform product enhancements. • Advocate for a customer-centric product mindset, ensuring that business objectives and user needs align. • Project Delivery Work closely with the Project/Delivery Manager to manage project timelines, scope, and risk mitigation strategies. • Oversee and ensure adherence to Avertra’s MiFlow methodology for product development and delivery. • Establish and validate product requirements, translating business needs into functional specifications and conceptual designs. • Own and maintain product backlog, prioritizing initiatives based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility. • Lead backlog refinement sessions to decompose, estimate, and define actionable user stories. • Ensure user stories are well-structured, clear, and aligned with acceptance criteria for development teams. • Drive sprint planning meetings, ensuring alignment between business priorities and development team velocity. • Lead agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, fostering an environment of continuous improvement. • Engage directly with customers to gather feedback, ensuring the product meets evolving needs and expectations. • Collaborate with UX teams to refine design requirements and create wireframes, prototypes, or mockups. • Define and enforce acceptance criteria for user stories, ensuring that deliverables meet quality and business expectations. • Oversee and validate testing efforts, ensuring that developed features align with business requirements before deployment. • Ensure that the product complies with regulatory, compliance, and security standards where applicable. • Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement Act as a bridge between business stakeholders and development teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment. • Serve as a primary advocate for the product across the organization, influencing cross-functional teams and leadership. • Engage with executive stakeholders, providing regular updates on product performance, challenges, and opportunities. • Develop and implement best practices in product management, driving process improvements across teams. • Facilitate alignment between engineering, marketing, customer success, and sales teams, ensuring a unified product strategy. • Represent the company and product at industry events, client meetings, and internal leadership forums. • Mentorship & Team Development Mentor and coach junior and mid-level Product Owners, helping them develop product management skills. • Establish a knowledge-sharing culture within the product team and across departments. • Provide training on agile best practices, backlog management, and stakeholder communication. • Support professional development initiatives, training programs, and certification paths for product team members. • Customer & Market Insight Conduct direct customer interviews, surveys, and data analysis to understand user pain points and needs. • Monitor industry trends, competitor strategies, and emerging technologies to maintain product competitiveness. • Drive the creation of user personas, customer journey maps, and market research reports to inform decision-making. • Champion a customer-first approach, ensuring that customer feedback drives product iterations and innovation. • Team Collaboration Train and mentor junior product owners, providing guidance on product management best practices. • Work closely with customer success, sales, and marketing teams to ensure effective product positioning and messaging. • Contribute to the development of marketing, training, and documentation to support product adoption and growth. • Advise and consult with cross-functional stakeholders on initiatives spanning the end-to-end value chain. • Provide regular product updates to executive leadership, communicating key performance indicators and strategic direction. • Lead knowledge transfer sessions to customer support teams, ensuring they have a deep understanding of the product's capabilities and value proposition.

🎯 Requirements

• Strategic Product Leadership: Lead exploratory discussions regarding business operations performance improvements, identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization. • Conduct in-depth market, competitor, and customer research to inform product strategy and long-term vision. • Define and communicate product roadmaps, aligning with business objectives and customer needs. • Serve as the primary point of contact for executive stakeholders, ensuring alignment with organizational goals. • Business & System Analysis: Review and analyze current IT systems, processes, and business workflows to identify strategic gaps and opportunities for enhancement. • Document current and future business/system/data flows, ensuring seamless transitions during upgrades or migrations. • Drive cross-functional collaboration to ensure product development aligns with operational and business needs. • Development & Testing: Act as a trusted advisor to the development team, ensuring solutions align with the overall product strategy and business goals. • Work with the testing team to develop comprehensive test scenarios, user acceptance criteria, and quality assurance plans. • Ensure that all releases meet high standards of usability, performance, and reliability through rigorous validation and feedback loops. • Partner with UX/UI teams to create intuitive and engaging user experiences. • Implementation, Maintenance & Monitoring: Lead the implementation and rollout of new features, ensuring smooth adoption across the organization. • Define and execute change management strategies, including training and communication plans for end users and stakeholders. • Establish metrics to track product performance, user adoption, and business impact, making data-driven decisions for continuous improvement. • Drive post-launch monitoring, identifying areas for optimization and iterating based on real-world feedback. • Plan and execute data migration strategies, ensuring integrity and consistency when transitioning to new systems. • Process Review & Enhancement: Conduct ongoing process reviews and product retrospectives to identify areas for operational efficiency improvements.
