•Aviya Aerospace Systems is a leader in engineering services and solutions for mission critical Aerospace and Defense applications. •Aviya provides expertise in program management, systems, software, mechanical, and hardware engineering to many of the top-tier Aerospace and Defense Contractors. •Aviya has an opening for a Power Electronics Engineer to join our engineering group in Canada/United States.

🎯 Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. •5+ years of electrical engineering experience. •Strong knowledge of power electronics concepts – Gate Drivers, Motor Control. •Good understanding of power conversion topologies and control strategies, switching device characteristics and losses, gate driving circuit design, magnetics, capacitors etc. •Knowledge of DO-254, Design Assurance Guidance for Airborne Electronic Hardware and RTCA DO-160 Qualification Guidelines. •Experience with modern processing technologies and architectures including micro-processors, FPGAs, memory, and high-speed IO. •Experience with power semiconductor devices (SiC MOSFETs, SiC diodes, Si IGBTs), and specifically IGBTs. •Demonstrated experience designing, simulating, analyzing, and verifying design performance to requirements. •Demonstrated experience performing Product / LRU and Printed Board Assembly (PBA) design verification and qualification. •Proficiency in electrical design software and tools. •Strong knowledge of electronic design principles, practices, and standards. •Knowledge of aerospace environmental, reliability, and safety requirements.
