📋 Description

• Serves in an advisory capacity to the Claims Team and Company regarding insurance coverage and extra-contractual disputes and litigation. • Conducts research where necessary, drafts brief legal opinions, attends claim review meetings to provide legal advice, examines records, conducts investigations, and manages coverage and extra-contractual litigation. • Assists in the review and drafting of policy language to align with business objectives. • Provides leadership updates on major Company projects as necessary.

🎯 Requirements

• A Juris Doctor Degree and admission to the bar (in good standing) in employed state(s) required. • A minimum of five (5) years of experience handling coverage matters or coverage litigation in-house or in private practice. • In-house insurance industry experience a plus. • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations governing insurance as well as corporate governance. • Excellent analytical, negotiation, organization, and verbal & written communication skills. • Ability to work independently and illustrate sound judgment as well as work in a team environment. • Ability to develop optimistic and collaborative relationships and to help influence decision making by senior management.
