📋 Description

• Own the technical direction and architecture for Bankjoy's kids and family financial empowerment product • Lead solution design and quarterly planning • Guide architectural and technology decisions aligned with product and business goals • Ensure systems meet financial industry security, compliance, and data privacy standards • Provide technical guidance and code reviews • Break initiatives into milestones and deliverables while managing scope, dependencies, risks, and technical debt • Monitor delivery progress and communicate risks or blockers • Contribute directly to coding, testing, debugging, and development • Build and maintain backend services using C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server • Develop frontend components using TypeScript and Angular • Contribute to or guide mobile app development • Lead and mentor engineers through 1:1s, feedback, and coaching • Hire and onboard engineering talent • Partner with Product and Design on roadmap, feature scope, and technical estimates • Work with QA to define testing standards, quality gates, and release readiness criteria • Collaborate with platform and security teams on infrastructure and compliance standards • Oversee unit test coverage, integration testing, and CI/CD pipeline quality • Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability practices • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to production incidents with RCA and retrospectives

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience • At least 2 years in a technical leadership or lead engineer role • Domain experience in banking, payments, financial wellness, or financial empowerment technology; candidates without this background will not be considered • Strong proficiency in C#, .NET Core, Entity Framework, and SQL Server • Strong proficiency in Angular and TypeScript • Ability to architect scalable, secure, and high-performing systems in a regulated financial environment • Experience leading engineering teams, setting direction, coaching engineers, and driving delivery • Strong understanding of security, compliance, and data privacy requirements in financial applications • Experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization, microservices, and CI/CD pipelines • Must be available to work Eastern Time Zone hours • Comfortable operating in a high-growth startup environment
