📋 Description

• Serve as the primary source of support for the Health System, including 8 acute care hospitals, Baptist outpatient services, and ambulatory surgical centers • Support staff onboarding and ongoing education • Perform quality assurance for work functions within the area of responsibility • Monitor reports and workflows to identify opportunities for improvement • Test and troubleshoot new software applications and system upgrades with Information Technology • Ensure compliance with TJC, CMS, OIG, Medical Staff Rules and Regulations, AHIMA guidelines, HIPAA regulations, and state and federal laws for release of information • Interact with clinical and administrative departments, physicians, clinicians, and patients • Travel between hospitals to perform job duties

🎯 Requirements

• High School, Cert, GED, Trn, or equivalent experience • Minimum 3 years of experience • Associate's degree in Health Information Management, Health Services Administration, or equivalent acute-care experience is preferred • Certified Record Health Information Technician (RHIT) and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) is preferred • Knowledge of statistics, data collection, and presentation • Ability to problem solve, organize, plan, prioritize work, and meet specific objectives under time constraints • Excellent communication skills and comprehension of oral and written instructions • Attention to fine details • Ability to travel between hospitals to perform job duties • Typing speed of 25 wpm • Must pass standard filing, Word, and Excel testing
