📋 Description

• Partner directly with customers to understand IT infrastructure, data workflows, and analytical needs and design impactful solutions • Identify IT & Data Science pain points and collaboratively define key success metrics for Benchling implementations • Work closely with R&D and Business Value solutions consultants to present cohesive solutions addressing scientific and strategic business needs • Architect and demonstrate cloud-based integrations between Benchling and enterprise IT systems (e.g., LIMS, ELN, ERP) and develop data pipelines for data sharing, analysis, and reporting • Partner with engineers and product managers to define, prioritize, and execute on new Benchling features and integrations for data scientists and bioinformaticians • Collaborate with Professional Services and Customer Success to ensure successful, scalable enterprise rollouts and integration with existing IT infrastructure, enabling AI/ML workflows • Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop targeted messaging and materials for IT and Data Science audiences • Participate in initiatives to develop best practices for integrating Benchling within complex IT environments and influence product roadmap

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Bioinformatics, or a related technical field (advanced degree preferred) • 5+ years of direct experience working with complex software systems, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based, enterprise-scale IT infrastructure, data management, and data analysis within the life sciences R&D space • Experience in developing or working with APIs in Python or R • Excellent at listening to diverse stakeholders (including IT professionals, data scientists, and scientists) and expressing technical ideas clearly • Great at understanding the needs and challenges of both technical and scientific users, and quickly grasping complex scientific and technical concepts • Proven ability to partner effectively with engineering and security teams to solve challenging technical problems related to software integration, data pipelines, and system architecture • Curious, creative, and tenacious, with a passion for leveraging technology to solve complex problems in life sciences • Excited to collaborate with customers as a trusted technical advisor • Ability to travel approximately 20%
