• Conduct investigations to identify, assess, decide, and report on activity indicating exposure to financial crimes • Evaluate, document, manage, and escalate potential threats and investigations according to standard operating procedures • Provide subject matter expertise and oversight of criminal risk using intelligence-based detection and research • Develop recommendations for process and customer service improvements • Monitor financial crime risk trends, regulations, and compliance standards • Analyze information from detection systems, tools, reports, and manual sources to determine required actions • Support evidence collection for incident reports, loss prevention, litigation, criminal prosecution, management information, statistics, and process improvements • Document investigation actions and findings in account and case files • Maintain understanding of financial crime management processes, frameworks, and techniques • Gather and format data for regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards • Analyze data to provide insights and recommendations • Execute routine service requests, transactions, and queries within service level agreements • Notify and provide information and instructions to internal and external stakeholders regarding incidents • Handle complex and diverse tasks, including escalations from other employees • Analyze issues and determine next steps • Apply BMO's Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy, policies, laws, and regulations
