📋 Description

• Consolidate, analyze, and report on business/group financial performance for month-, quarter-, and year-end closing • Support financial reporting, financial governance, and an efficient accounting function • Develop solutions and recommendations based on business strategy and stakeholder needs • Advise assigned business/group on implementation of accounting solutions and operational programs • Support strategic initiatives by tracking metrics and milestones • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders • Review financial information and supporting documentation for reasonableness, completeness, and accuracy • Analyze financial results and provide insights and recommendations for period closing and reporting • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards • Support preparation of journal entries, reporting packages, financial statements, tax payments, and reconciliations • Provide information and support internal and external audits • Execute routine tasks within relevant service level agreements • Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver business objectives • Identify, diagnose, and solve problems within established rules • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy and applicable policies, laws, and regulations

🎯 Requirements

• Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Completed or near completion of an accounting designation • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience • In-depth verbal and written communication skills • In-depth collaboration and team skills • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills • Microsoft 365 Copilot is an asset • In-depth influence skills
