• Underwrite and manage a portfolio of business, evaluating and pricing risks within established program guidelines and authority limits • Apply consistent underwriting strategies to drive profitable growth across program • Quote, negotiate, and bind new business, renewals, and endorsements with a focus on scalability and operational efficiency • Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, clients, and key stakeholders • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support program success and enhancements • Ensure underwriting discipline and compliance with program rules, filings, and regulatory requirements • Contribute to program development, including product design, pricing strategies, and process improvements • Support team development through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and coaching • Utilize internal systems for policy inquiries, electronic filing, underwriting, and rating transactions • Some travel is required
• Minimum 3+ years of commercial brokering or underwriting experience (program business is strongly preferred) • RIBO licensed required • Completion of CIP designation (or progress towards) is an asset • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset • Proven ability to mentor, coach, and support team members • Strong relationship management skills with clients, insurers, and stakeholders • Demonstrated experience in client management, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and supporting retention • Great communication skills (both written and verbal) • Ability to manage high-volume workflows while maintaining accuracy and service standards • Strong analytical and technical experience • Demonstrated initiative and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
