📋 Description

• Monitor and maintain virtual and physical Linux servers, ensuring system performance and availability. • Deploy new systems, improve and automate the system deployment process. • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for system issues, working closely with other teams and customers. • Own certain aspects of the CDN, ensuring they operate at the highest level of performance and availability. • Improve infrastructure and customer documentation, update processes and procedures to ensure effective knowledge management and transfer. • Improve automation by adopting DevOps principles and contributing to various internal configuration management tools and projects. • Mentor and assist other system engineers and architects.

🎯 Requirements

• Availability for weekday shifts and occasional weekend coverage (12-hour shifts). • Expert-level Linux administration experience, including optimizing Linux services, drivers and the kernel. • Knowledge of network and routing protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, tunneling, etc). • Deep understanding of the HTTP protocol(s) and the ability to troubleshoot any HTTP or network related issues. • Deep understanding of Varnish, Nginx, bird/quagga, Linux firewalls, scripting languages. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently. • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on providing high-quality customer service.
