📋 Description

• Contribute to team and department solution design, architecture, and development and implementation of data standards and strategies • Participate in data stewardship workgroups and data management and governance activities • Champion metadata and data quality practices through lunch-and-learn and knowledge-sharing sessions • Understand stakeholder business culture and priorities and apply appropriate modeling techniques to elicit definitions and data quality requirements • Own engineering success for data governance engineering programs, including metadata/cataloging and data quality programs • Research and develop glossary definitions, policies, programs, standards, guidelines, and workflows • Lead development and maintenance of metadata catalogs • Identify and quantify organizational data pain points and assist with remediation plans • Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop business rules measuring and assuring data quality • Facilitate discussions with end users and data modelers • Quantify and qualify reported data quality issues and develop and report program metrics demonstrating progress and compliance • Set day-to-day objectives and independently deliver responsibilities, applying discretion within established procedures • Perform other duties as requested

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent years of relevant work experience • Minimum of three years of experience designing and developing ETL and/or BI solutions • Experience across definition, design, implementation, testing, and deployment of complex database, ETL, BI, and analytical solutions • Healthcare payer experience preferred • Proven ability to write complex SQL queries • Experience developing medium- to complex-level data quality profiling or metadata analysis processes with an industry-leading tool • Ability to manage multiple medium- to large-scale projects • Solid understanding of data management and governance concepts, especially data quality and metadata management • Understanding of relational database theory • Ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Strong written and verbal communication, listening, and critical-thinking skills • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks independently and in a collaborative team environment • Customer-service orientation
