• Responsible for maintaining environmental compliance and meeting permit requirements • Apply engineering principles to prepare technical reports, conduct tests, audits, or inspections • Collect and analyze samples, investigate incidents and recommend corrective action • Collaborate with facility management for local, state, and federal permit maintenance • Interact professionally with regulators, customers, and the public regarding compliance • Manage contractors for low and medium-complexity engineering projects • Participate as a team member on higher-complexity development projects • Evaluate hazards and determine proper disposal methods • Manage internal environmental management tracking system (ETMS) database • Assist with development of environmental resource programs and perform training to expand knowledge
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or other related degree • 1-4 years of work experience in solid waste or related environmental industry • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel among the company's regional offices throughout the Northeast • Strong commitment to workplace safety, sustainability, and environmental compliance • High attention to detail, organizational, listening, communication and problem-solving skills • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications • Advanced Degree or certificate, Professional Engineering (PE) License or FE/EIT certification is preferred • U.S. work authorization
