📋 Description
• Install, configure, and upgrade MongoDB instances on AWS (EC2, DocumentDB, or self-hosted). • Perform proactive performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization. • Manage database backups, restores, and disaster recovery strategies. • Implement high availability solutions such as replica sets and sharding. • Deploy and manage MongoDB using AWS services like EC2 and DocumentDB. • Utilize AWS tools such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and IAM for monitoring and security. • Implement Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK with TypeScript for database provisioning and automation. • Enforce database security policies, encryption, and access controls. • Ensure compliance with industry standards (GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2) and internal governance. • Monitor system health and performance metrics. • Troubleshoot database and AWS-related issues promptly. • Maintain detailed documentation of configurations and operational procedures. • Work closely with Cloud Operations and Application teams for migrations and integrations. • Participate in planning and execution of database modernization initiatives.
🎯 Requirements
• Strong experience with MongoDB administration and optimization. • Proficiency in AWS services (EC2, DocumentDB, RDS). • Expertise in AWS CDK with TypeScript for Infrastructure as Code. • Familiarity with observability tools (New Relic, CloudWatch, Datadog) and disaster recovery strategies. • Understanding networking concepts (VPC, Transit Gateway). • At least 10 years as a DBA, including 3 years with AWS.
