📋 Description

• Lead all earned media strategy across trade, business, and technology press • Build and own relationships with key journalists, editors, and producers • Drive proactive thought leadership placements, including bylines, contributed articles, executive interviews, and feature coverage • Own spokesperson readiness through training and maintenance programs • Own press release and media monitoring processes • Manage the PR agency relationship, strategy, priorities, accountability, and escalation • Establish and maintain a PR measurement framework • Coordinate PR activity with content, internal communications, and marketing through the unified corporate editorial calendar • Architect, maintain, and improve the crisis communications playbook • Serve as the primary communications lead during active crisis situations in partnership with legal, HR, and executive leadership • Conduct readiness reviews and tabletop exercises • Advise on reputational risk and issues management • Coordinate customer-facing and employee-facing crisis communications • Maintain relationships with relevant industry analysts • Own strategic analyst engagement supporting corporate positioning • Track analyst coverage, reports, and sentiment • Flag strategically relevant analyst perspectives for product, sales, and executive leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years of communications experience • At least 6 years focused on B2B technology PR • Track record of earning meaningful coverage in trade and business press • Direct, hands-on experience owning or co-leading crisis communications response, including at least one live, high-stakes situation • Experience managing external PR agencies with high standards and clear accountability • Strong executive communication skills, including advising C-suite leaders under pressure • Comfort operating in a lean team as strategist and executor • Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or enterprise software sectors preferred • Direct insurance industry experience is a meaningful plus • Experience with analyst relations at any level • Video interview required • Candidates are not permitted to use generative AI or automated assistance during interviews unless explicitly allowed
