• Develop and industrialize optical assembly processes and systems from concept through start‑up and certification • Lead definition of equipment specifications, performance requirements, and integration proposals for optical assembly machinery • Integrate automation and tooling solutions in collaboration with internal engineering teams, suppliers, and contractors • Execute experimental testing in cleanroom environments to evaluate and optimize optical assembly processes and equipment • Oversee equipment installation, site acceptance testing, and transfer to contract manufacturing operations • Own and optimize complete product assembly flows, including active optical alignment and passive optical and mechanical assembly sequences • Analyze assemblies from contract manufacturing partners and identify process improvement opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant Engineering field • 5+ years of experience in a related field • Application of hands‑on problem solving with strong attention to detail • Application of technical, scientific, and experimental problem‑solving methods • Experience programming manufacturing equipment • Application of CAD software in an engineering or manufacturing context • Demonstrated teamwork and professional communication skills • Experience managing projects under tight timelines • Fluency in English and French • Willingness to travel internationally on an occasional basis
