• Order, review, and summarize medical records to prepare factual responses for discovery. • Conduct regular phone interviews with clients and provide timely updates on their legal cases. • Evaluate cases thoroughly to prepare for attorney review and filing. • Oversee the workflow of cases using our electronic case management system. • Draft and send professional correspondence. • Draft pleadings, including complaints, discovery responses, and other legal documents. • Provide general assistance to attorneys and senior paralegals. • Properly and consistently document all events and communications. • Submit invoices in a timely manner, adhering to firm policy. • Manage and meet deadlines for statutes of limitations (SOLs) and other filings under attorney supervision.
• 1-2 years of experience in personal injury law, with a focus on handling cases involving auto accidents, medical malpractice, premises liability, and workers' compensation required. • Demonstrates a caring and compassionate attitude towards clients, in line with our core value of "Doing Good by Doing Right." • Possesses a growth mindset and is eager to become an invaluable member of the Chaffin Luhana team. • Exhibits resilience, intelligence, and compassion, with excellent listening skills and the ability to stay patient in stressful situations. • Proven ability to assist attorneys and senior paralegals effectively. • Strong skills in researching legal precedents, drafting legal documents, and writing reports and correspondence. • Exceptional analytical skills for evaluating case details, identifying key issues, and contributing to case strategies. • Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple cases and tasks simultaneously, with effective prioritization. • Effective problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues that arise during case management. • Meticulous attention to detail, efficiently managing case files, including organizing and maintaining documents, deadlines, and schedules. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals. • Familiarity with legal software and case management systems (e.g., Salesforce Litify). • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and demonstrated comfort with technology. • Understanding of medical records and terminology, with the ability to summarize and interpret medical documents with minimal supervision.
