• Help us tell people about Chayn’s work and reach more survivors, supporters and partners • Work across our social media, newsletters, website, campaigns and organisational communications • Drafting and scheduling content for Chayn’s social media channels • Writing and editing newsletters, blogs, website copy and campaign materials • Helping plan and deliver campaigns, resource launches and organisational announcements • Turning complex research and sensitive subjects into content that is accessible, engaging and easy to understand • Creating visual content and adapting existing templates and assets • Keeping our website, blog and resource pages accurate and up to date • Helping manage communications calendars, content trackers and digital assets • Engaging thoughtfully with our online community • Supporting our commercial partnerships efforts via LinkedIn and our newsletter • Monitoring social media, website and newsletter performance and helping us learn from the results • Researching relevant news, trends, awareness dates and conversations relating to gender-based violence, technology and survivor support • Supporting communications for events, partnerships, fundraising and organisational updates • Helping coordinate communications requests from across the Chayn team
• Strong written English and the ability to communicate ideas clearly • A thoughtful and sensitive approach to writing about gender-based violence, trauma and survivor support • Good organisational skills and attention to detail • An interest in digital communications, storytelling and campaigning • The ability to research a subject and summarise what you find • Confidence using Google Workspace or similar digital tools • The ability to manage your time and work independently in a remote team • Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn • An understanding of intersectionality and systems of oppression • An affinity with Chayn’s mission and organisational values • Experience creating social media posts, newsletters, blogs, videos or website content (Desirable) • Experience gained through an internship, student project, volunteering, activism or paid work (Desirable) • Familiarity with tools such as Canva, Mailchimp, Hootsuite, and Notion (Desirable) • An understanding of digital accessibility or writing for different online audiences (Desirable) • Basic experience using analytics to understand how content is performing (Desirable) • Familiarity with SEO (Desirable) • Experience working remotely or as part of an international or multicultural team (Desirable) • Knowledge of another language (Desirable)
