📋 Description

• Manage multiple remote Alaska airport construction projects concurrently from NTP through as-builts / closeout. • Lead project planning, site mobilization, materials logistics, field labor workflows, and contractor sequencing. • Direct trenching, ground grid installation, conduit/raceway routing, foundations, and shelter placement. • Integrate aviation weather system components into installed civil infrastructure. • Manage subcontractors, schedule, budget, change orders, and cost controls. • Work with engineering + CAD drafters to ensure drawing packages and site conditions stay aligned. • Maintain FAA specifications, government contract compliance, safety practices, and QA/QC documentation. • Drive reporting cadence — status, risk, issues, next actions — to client and internal leadership. • Deliver full closeout packages including photos, redlines, and as-built documentation. • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

🎯 Requirements

• Experience delivering NAS / FAA / weather systems / telecom infrastructure projects. • Experience with logistics into bush Alaska / remote barge delivery / winter staging. • Experience coordinating with civil + electrical trades on remote sites. • High school diploma is required. • 15+ years experience in construction project management. • Proven experience managing construction projects in Alaska (remote / rural / bush / off-grid / aviation / DOT / telecom strongly relevant). • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple live field projects concurrently. • Strong cost control, change management, subcontractor oversight, and field execution discipline. • Familiar with federal construction contracting environment (prime or sub). • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
