📋 Description

• Support the Regional Coordinator on overall regional portfolio performance, including in critical planning and monitoring exercises • Act as focal person for ILC member-led platforms at national level, namely National Land Coalitions (NLCs) in the region • Provide strategic technical support to ILC member-led platforms at national level • Support portfolio expansion under NLCs • Support ILC members in planning, transformative strategy formulation development, and multi-year action plans • Coordinate with Regional Data Specialist and Regional Policy and Advocacy Specialists to foster collaboration and synergies around NLCs • Support NLCs in partnership building with governments, IGOs and other CSOs • Assist member-led NLCs in initiating and enhancing partnerships with IGOs, development partners and foundations • Collaborate with ILC Communication Team to ensure the visibility of NLCs • Collaborate with Monitoring and Evaluation colleagues to ensure NLCs share timely and well-prepared reports • Collaborate with Learning and Knowledge colleagues to ensure learning and knowledge agendas build around NLCs priorities • Representing ILC Regional Team at national and regional events as requested

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of progressively responsible professional experience in development institutions and/or government service with a focus on land and natural resources at regional level • Master’s degree in business administration, development, economics, finance, international relations, or related areas • Knowledge of policy oriented, Programme based pro-poor approaches, and grant management, including formulation, negotiation, implementation, and monitoring • Proven expertise with network dynamics and land governance issues • Capacity to communicate fluently with different counterparts (civil society, international financial Institutions, government authorities, local communities, academia) to align parties and build networks • Analytical skills, Outstanding ability to analyze and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information from a variety of sources and filter out key insights and recommendations • Strong critical thinking combined with communication skills to liaise between business and technologies to understand business problems and needs, document requirements and identify solutions • High sense of proactive initiative-taking and good judgement (including on security matters) • Ability to strictly adhere to established, formal guidelines, including in new situations • Know-how in Project design and evaluation • Strong systemic and structured thinking, ability to identify and dissect problems into components and formulate a comprehensive set of creative viable and sustainable solutions and strategies • Adherence to deadlines under time constraints and pressure (e.g., to deliver governing body documents on time); ability to coordinate and manage complex workflows and in-house and external teams • Ability to deal patiently and tactfully with others (e.g., visitors, clients, callers, etc.), including senior individuals (e.g. high-level meeting participants)
