📋 Description

• Lead the application of ASC 606/IFRS 15 to complex crypto-native transactions (e.g., spot trading fees, staking rewards, NFT royalties, etc.). • Develop and maintain robust revenue recognition and reporting processes tailored to crypto products and services. • Ensure accurate and timely recording of revenue transactions in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies. • Oversee month-end and quarter-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis. • Collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to ensure proper revenue accounting treatment for new product launches. • Identify and implement improvements to revenue systems, processes, and controls, leveraging blockchain data and automation tools. • Implement and monitor internal controls over revenue cycles to ensure SOX compliance and mitigate risks. • Support internal and external audit requests, staying current with evolving accounting standards and crypto industry best practices. • Manage and mentor the Revenue team, fostering collaboration across departments and developing junior team members. • Lead or participate in special projects related to financial infrastructure, new product launches, and strategic initiatives.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • CPA designation required • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 4-5 years directly focused on revenue recognition (ASC 606/IFRS 15) within a financial institution. • Proven ability to interpret and apply complex accounting guidance to real-world business scenarios, particularly in a nascent and rapidly changing industry. • Strong analytical skills with an ability to distill complex data into actionable insights. • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholders. • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Experience with SOX compliance within a financial services context. • Proficiency with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
