• Collaborate with the development team to support the design, develop, and maintain web applications using Node.js, React, and Java. • Assist in the implementation and integration of RESTful APIs, microservices, and third party services to enhance application functionality. • Learn and contribute to the optimization of database structures and queries using AWS DynamoDB or similar NoSQL databases. • Gain exposure to AWS Lambda functions for serverless architecture and event driven programming. • Contribute to the implementation of automated testing and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) processes to ensure software quality and deployment efficiency. • Gain exposure by working with configuration, customization, system integration, design and development of Gosu and/or Jutro coding in the Guidewire Cloud environment. • Assist in developing and maintaining integrations between Guidewire Cloud and external systems using APIs and/or web services. • Participate in troubleshooting and debugging activities, under the guidance of senior developers, to identify and resolve issues. • Participate in the mapping of data sources, data movement, interfaces, and analytics with the goal of ensuring data quality within the data warehouse. • Participate in identifying and resolving database and data structure issues within the data warehouse. • Participate in addressing data related problems regarding systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platform integration within the data warehouse. • Collaborate with team members to ensure adherence to coding standards, best practices, and Agile development methodologies. • Stay current with Guidewire Cloud updates, best practices, and industry trends.
• Basic understanding of web development concepts and technologies which may include one or more of the following: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, React. • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and basic collaborative development workflows. • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn and adapt quickly to new technologies. • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow in a collaborative development environment. • Ability to become certified (or currently certified and up to date) as an Associate InsuranceSuite Developer on the Guidewire insurance cloud platform within six months; continued certification (Professional / ACE) may be required at a later date.
